First clonogenic assay using silver-111

In October 2024, the ISOLPHARM collaboration successfully performed the first clonogenic survival evaluation using silver-111 on cancer cells. In particular, the UMR-106 rat osteosarcoma cell line was tested. This result represents a first important experimental milestone reached by the ISOLPHARM radiobiology community, which includes groups from the Universities of Pavia (with the LENA facility), Padova, Trento, Siena and Brescia, as well as INFN-LNL.
